12 years later, when nostalgia kicked in, here I am. Yeah, the framerate on the PS3 wasn't great due to the split in system memory. (Yes, the PS3 had a total of 512MB of RAM just like the 360 but it had 256 dedicated to video and 256 dedicated to system. Ken Kutaragi was a hardware genius, he'd thought all that through, but how the RAM was allocated was the fatal flaw. It actually was the RSX Synth and everyone thought, it was the RAM that made it difficult and is the cause of framerate thus, this demo looking better than the 360 counterpart, but not running as well. What I didn't really see before that I see now is the 360 has this rippling effect, which was really common with 360 games, even Gears of War, where the Vsync was a constant problem so the Xbox 360 always has screen tearing issues which were always a pain. The PS3 had a few games that suffered from it but not nearly as much as the 360 did, PS3 was always the framerate though, remedied with the PS4 with 8GB of RAM that was GDDR5 vs Xbox Ones DDR3 and their weird 32MB of ES RAM which was bizarre and I think supposed to be used for cloud computing to make up for the difference. Looks like a generation later they didn't learn from their mistakes as Kojima seems curious by the tech and willing to try it out with his (for now anyway) Xbox Exclusive OD, which at this point is likely to be on track to launch on PS6 as well
